Career Transition Quotations that Will Make You Optimistic
from:Are you at the crossroad of your career? If you are about to take a career change and are daunted about what lies ahead, here are a few career transition quotations to inspire you and keep your spirits up.
Harold Whitman once said, “Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go out and do that. Because what the world needs more than anything is people who have come alive.” Make sure you have made the right choice. If you don’t love your job, don’t be scared of leaving it. The disadvantages of staying in your job are probably more than those of leaving it.
Another of many career transition quotations comes from Hellen Keller. She said that “Sometimes we look so longingly upon the door which has just closed, that we fail to see those which have opened for us.” If you just lost your job for some reason that you did not initiate, look on the bright side. You are now directed to finding a job that you really love. You will reach your goals as long as you are happy with what you are doing.
One interesting quotation among other career transition quotations is from Zig Ziglar: “Many companies have long contended that stress in the home causes productivity loss in the market place… and it does. But research now reveals that stress on the job causes stress at home. In other words, they feed off each other.” Before you even create stress at home, start rethinking your current job. Is it worth it to stay if you just bring home the stress that it brings you?
Now see what Walter Chrysler has to contribute to the many career transition quotations you can find today. “I feel sorry for the person who can't get genuinely excited about his work. Not only will he never be satisfied, but he will never achieve anything worthwhile.” If you think you aren’t doing well at work, then the main root of it all can be because you don’t love your work. You may give out many other reasons, but at the end of the day, the only reason is you don’t love your job whether it is because of the company, the industry, the colleagues, or the role that you have.
There are many other career transition quotations you can find in the internet but to top this off, here is a quotation from Paul Clitheroe. “For many people a job is more than an income – it's an important part of who we are. So a career transition of any sort is one of the most unsettling experiences you can face in your life.”
